Description

This Parmesan-crusted Caprese Grilled Cheese is a deliciously grown-up spin on the childhood classic. Loaded with gooey provolone, ripe tomatoes, and fresh basil, it delivers crunch, melt, and full-on flavor in every bite.


Ingredients

  • 8 slices Italian herb bread
  • 4 tbsp olive oil mayo
  • 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan
  • 8 slices vine-ripened tomato (1/4-inch thick)
  • 8 fresh basil leaves, torn
  • 4 slices smoked provolone


Instructions

  1. Spread one side of each bread slice with mayo. Press mayo side into Parmesan.
  2. Place bread Parmesan-side down. Add provolone, tomatoes, and basil. Top with remaining bread, Parmesan-side up.
  3. Grill in a nonstick skillet over medium heat, 2–3 minutes per side, until golden and melted.
