Ingredients

  • 1 lb Italian sausage, casings removed
  • 1/2 yellow onion, diced
  • 2 bell peppers (red and yellow), sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 lb cheese ravioli
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Grated parmesan and chopped basil, for garnish


Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, brown sausage over medium heat. Add onion; cook until softened.
  2. Stir in bell peppers, garlic, and red pepper flakes. Sauté 5 minutes.
  3. Pour in crushed tomatoes and cream. Simmer 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Meanwhile, cook ravioli according to package directions.
  5. Drain ravioli and toss with sauce. Season to taste.
  6. Serve topped with parmesan and basil.
